Flew across Manhattan in a helicopter so I naturally couldn't resist taking my own shot of the city.

"If you are greedy for life, that's what New York is all about. If you're trying to get as much as you can everyday, this city is the place to be."

Pam Nelson
Laughing in Starbucks with Mitch. Pretty much becoming part of our regular routine here. Laughing out loud, drinking coffee and acting like the fools that we are.

In the cold weather that is New York in fall, when this sign appears from between the buildings, it is a sign of refuge. Not to mention maybe a delicious Caramel Brulee Latte or two.

Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. It may have been a cold and grim day, but that didn't stop us hanging out down in Brooklyn.

Fall days in Washington Square Park calls for me trying numerous times to stop Mitch from becoming the king of all squirrels by feeding them all peanuts. It's hard not to be addicted to this time of the year in NYC.

Clips of the various things we did in NYC today. We walked from our apartment in East Village across to the Meat Packing District and Chelsea, got lunch and had a walk around. I absolutely loved that part of Manhattan, it's so trendy and stylish with many niche cafes and places to grab a bite.

There were so many people dressed fashionably, it inspires you to go all out with your own fashion choices. Then we took the subway over to the west side of Central Park and walked through toward the Upper East Side. We saw people skating on the pretty ice rink in the centre of the park and Mitch bought me a print of the Brooklyn Bridge.
The leaves are all so pretty and colourful, it certainly is a great time of year to explore New York.

Rugged up in my fall attire, with Mitch making me laugh so much! The streets are small and paved with cobble stones which make the area so pretty, it's also set next to the bay, so we walked down to the water for something a little different.

Golden light in Central Park. We walked down 5th Avenue and then decided to walk all the way back to East Village. In total we walked about 70 blocks!

Hanging out in the Meat Packing District of Manhattan. If you're going on holidays and planning to do a fair bit of walking, I would totally recommend the Nike Roshe Run's! Initially I wasn't the biggest fan of them and thought they were pretty over rated! But I must admit, since travelling around the US and walking miles and miles all over the places, out of all the shoes I brought with me, these have been my best friends.

Much needed coffee on the streets of New York, before a bit of shopping on Broadway.

My favourite shops along that strip were H & M and Forever 21 as they had so many amazing and affordable deals for clothing and accessories. In Sydney you can find these stores now within the CBD or Macquarie Centre!

Coffee: Grande Cafe Latte from Starbucks

Coat: Portmans $150 AUD

Scarf: H & M $4.99 USD

Heading out on this 14 degree day to go and try an Aussie style cafe, recommended by our Australian friends living here in NYC. Bluestone Lane Cafe is great and the coffee tastes exactly like us Australian's make it.
I would recommend the avo smash with feta cheese, we had it today and it was delish, along with the Iced Chai!

The Perfect Tan

Anyone who knows me knows that I am tan obsessed! I love to be bronzed and brown all year round, rain hail or shine, however I know how bad tanning in the sun is for my skin and I am naturally quite pale. I burn easily and very very rarely tan, so for me lying out for hours in the sun is just pointless.

Over the years I have tried and tested MANY tanning products and so it would suffice to say I pretty much know my tanning ranges. Not only am I a regular self tanner, but I also worked in tanning, professionally spray tanning people in a salon.

I have gone through many trials and tribulations with different tanning brands but I can safely say that last year I found my love… MINE TAN.

Thats right people, Mine Tan and it has been mine all mine since I found it and started buying it last year. I'm not quite sure how I came across it but I haven't looked back since.

Mine Tan provides both salon and at home tanning products from mousse, spray and one night bronze tanners. I have used many of the professional spray tans and so for those of you who also, like me, have your own tent and machine, Mine Tan salon spray is for you!

If you're like most people though and often just do your own tanning at home, thats totally fine because Mine Tan has a salon quality coloured mousse that works wonders. It only needs to be left on a minimum of 1 hour, however I always leave mine on for 3 or more as I like to go as dark as possible.

My faves are the Black Lotion- perfect for a night out when you just need a bit of colour.

I recommend any of the spray tans from the Ash, Green based or Violet range.

I also am LOVING the mousse tan at the moment in green base, I put it on before bed and I wake up so nice and brown.

Mine Tan also supplies gloves for removing tan in the shower, as well as application mitts which are a must when tanning at home.

I also recently tried the Mine Tan make up range- face bronzer and I love it! It makes you look golden and natural and can be used on shoulders and chest too!

Motivated to Move

Winter is over and we are finally starting to feel the warmth of spring, the days are getting longer and everyone is keen to get out and about. Sometimes having been cooped up all winter means that not only are we a little unmotivated, but also maybe a little out of shape due to all the delicious hearty winter meals. It’s hard to feel bikini ready when we don’t feel at our best, so getting motivated to move your body and regain your health and fitness goals again are a great way start.

I know it can be hard to get motivated after months of not being able to get out side, but there are some great ways to inspire yourself to get going.

Buy Some New Workout Wear

Go on, get out there and buy some new gym clothes to inspire yourself to get moving. Don’t just grab any old thing; instead go for something bright and fun to liven up your workout plan. There are some amazing greens, teals, oranges and pinks that have become popular amongst many fitness ranges that will help you to feel awake and excited to get fit. Sometimes having new work out gear is all you need to feel excited and prepared to get going with our fitness goals.

Eat Better
Try to start off the spring and summer months with a healthier eating plan, buying pre prepared healthy meals to have in the freezer are a great way to begin for those days and nights you cant be bothered preparing food yourself. Asking a nutritionist to create a diet plan for you based on your personal body shape and needs is also a great way to know you have a professional eating plan to stick to and get results. Get stuck into the colours of spring and summer through your foods, eat lots of green veggies and delicious fruits that are in season.

Coordinate Your Outfit
Workout wear doesn’t have to be simple and boring, why not team that new outfit with a few accessories to liven up the look. A bright visor, hat or some funky runners are the perfect way to make an outfit out of your gym wear. Go for the sporty chic look by teaming a coloured sports bra and tank with a wristband or iPhone armband. Wearing gym wear to cafes and shops has become a popular trend and is the perfect way to ensure you get your work out done, the outfit is already on your body so your ready to go.

Tunes

Download some new songs off iTunes to get you pumped and inspired to workout. There is nothing better than some fun music to get you going, it will help you to feel energized, upbeat and keen to move your body!
